Speak up

Just talking of wisdom

doesn’t make us wise

for every action

there is a price.

Evils do take place

in every crowd

but we all overlook

and find reasons to shroud.

We talk about morals and ethics

we talk about ritual and beliefs

about tradition and reputation

but when time comes, we act like a thief .

Tell your daughters

there’s nothing to shame

short clothes and make up

are no reason to blame.

Teach your sons

calmness and to behave

not to pretend to be the hero

but learn to be brave.

Women still lack the freedom of education

dark skinned people are prone to rejection

feminism for men is still a friction

transgenders too deserve affection and attention.

Wake up now and speak up

there is nothing to hide

stand and fight for the right

and help others redeem their pride.
