Many days passed in despair,
complaining, crying & saying it's not fair.
Life swayed as the truth hit,
but mind wasn't ready to accept it.
Glued to the bed & jealous of the sound,
of the children shouting & playing in the ground.
Hands were numb so the tears it couldn't wipe,
whole body was attached & surrounded by tubes & pipe.
Eyes couldn't see, they were half closed,
stop being hopeful, the mind forced.
Rants from within could be heard,
asking for life & to fly again like a bird.
To get up, move around, walk & run,
to again live freely & have fun.
To sit & think surrounded by trees,
to breathe & live happily at peace.
To fulfill all these wishes, every bit of it,
her heart appealed to cancer with it's last beat.
Thank you everyone.
Brilliant write up. May require little editing. Happy to note judicious utilisation of words. Use of idioms may make more precise.
Excellent writing.. God bless
